Job Information

Functional title – Assistant Vice President, Data Resilience & Recovery Specialist

Department – IT Security

Corporate level – Assistant Vice President

Report to – Director, Cyber Resilience Strategy

Location – Iselin, NJ (Hybrid onsite 2 days per week)

Expected full‑time salary range between $135,000 -- 150,000 plus variable compensation, 401(k) match and benefits.

Note: Disclosure as required by NJ Pay Transparency Law of the expected salary compensation range for this role.

Summary

The Assistant Vice President, Data Resilience and Recovery Specialist plays a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's data infrastructure, ensuring robust data continuity and swift recovery processes. This position is tailored for individuals with a background in Financial Services, Banking, or Financial Market Infrastructure firms, focusing on fortifying data resilience strategies that align with industry standards.

Responsibilities
  • Define a data resiliency program that encapsulates governance structure, roles, responsibilities, operational readiness, control inventory, and implementation.
  • Coordinate with the technology team to create and implement testing programs for data backups.
  • Establish a governance framework for data immutability, ensuring alignment with global data protection regulations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify gaps in the data immutability lifecycle.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of data resilience measures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for data protection practices.
  • Facilitate training sessions to raise data resilience awareness.
  • Leverage emerging technologies to enhance data recovery capabilities.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on data resilience status.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in data recovery and resilience within financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of data protection regulations and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to identify potential data risks.
  • Experience with data governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools and technologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Ability to lead training programs and workshops on data resilience.
  • Keen attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proactive approach to staying updated with industry trends and innovations.
