This is a highly visible, project-driven role with a direct impact on the technology, data architecture, and analytical solutions that support SEI’s investment management and market units.

The successful candidate will partner closely with investment, technology, and operations teams to define business needs, lead technology-focused initiatives, and design and deliver data solutions that improve scalability, efficiency, and insight across the investment management platform. This role also plays a key part in validating new technology solutions by coordinating and supporting the testing of new system releases, integrations, and enhancements to ensure changes meet business requirements and are ready for production use.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with IMU business teams to gather requirements, perform business analysis, and translate investment and data needs into technical solutions.
  • Lead and contribute to technology and data projects, including system integrations, platform enhancements, vendor onboarding, and process modernization initiatives.
  • Design and help implement data architectures, workflows, and controls to support scalable investment data acquisition, transformation, and consumption.
  • Work with internal technology teams and third party vendors to integrate new data sources, systems, and tools into the IMU data ecosystem.
  • Coordinate and support testing of new system releases, integrations, and enhancements, including validating new build components, ensuring alignment with business requirements, and supporting user acceptance and release readiness activities.
  • Support project management activities, including defining scope, timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Develop and enhance data pipelines, controls, and automated processes to improve data quality, transparency, and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot complex data and integration issues by coordinating across analysts, engineers, portfolio teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the creation of process documentation, technical specifications, and operating models for new and existing solutions.
  • Support strategic initiatives and new product launches by providing data, technology, and analytical expertise.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and modernize investment data and technology processes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, MIS, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in financial services, investment management, or a technology-enabled data role.
  • Strong experience working on technology or data-driven projects, including system integrations or platform enhancements.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating testing efforts for technology or data solutions, including system integrations, enhancements, or new platform releases.
  • Experience with project coordination or project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform business analysis and translate requirements into technical designs or solution approaches.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and data tools (SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar technologies).
  • Familiarity with investment data, products, and workflows (traditional and/or alternative assets preferred).
  • Exposure to investment systems and vendors such as Bloomberg, Fact Set, Black Rock Solutions, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • CFA, CIPM, or progress toward designation is a plus (reimbursement provided).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve ambiguous problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working between business teams and technology teams as a translator and solution partner.
  • Process-oriented mindset with the ability to design and improve workflows where none exist.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or work streams concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail
