Systems Administrator

Description

Our client is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a growing infrastructure team with a strong focus on Azure cloud networking and ongoing modernization initiatives. This individual will work closely with a lead engineer and a broader team, contributing to projects rather than operating independently at an architect level. The role centers around building and managing network infrastructure in Azure, including VNets and hub-and-spoke environments, as part of a larger effort to migrate on-prem data centers to the cloud.

In addition, this person will support a key initiative to implement a Meraki SD-WAN solution and help build out environments that application teams will rely on. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in networking with some exposure to cloud environments, particularly Azure, and be comfortable working in a collaborative, project-driven setting while continuing to expand their skill set.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6–8 years of professional experience supporting and engineering WAN and LAN environments

• Hands‑on expertise with virtualization technologies, including Microsoft Hyper‑V, VMware vSphere, and/or Linux‑based virtualization, supporting both server and virtual desktop environments

• VDI – They are running VMs, his goal is to get it to AVD (AVD is a nice to have), they just control the back end and then hand it over to the desktop team.

 They play in the DR area, a lot of it on their team is around building out the VM on Prem and administering the pure storage to move things around.

 Security – shared partnership, they don’t put the policies out there, but administer them from AD and group policies, they don’t have firewalls, governance under their responsibilities. They do move people in and out of their group policies.

This is a Contract position based out of Blue Bell, PA.

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
