About the RoleThis position may start as a summer seasonal or internship opportunity with the potential to become a permanent full‑time role based on business needs. Weekend work may be required.
EssentialJob Duties & Functions
- Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems.
- Implement security measures.
- Monitor security certificates and ensure company compliance with requirements.
- Offer technical support to staff and troubleshoot computer problems.
- Install and update company software and hardware as needed.
- Anticipate and report on the cost of replacing or updating computer items.
- Maintain proper documentation, including change logs, troubleshooting information, and maintenance routines.
- Follow appropriate procedures for access requests.
- Assist the IT Operations Manager in planning the IT environment, including network upgrades, server reconfiguration, and new device setups.
- Complete Level 2 and Level 3 help‑desk requests.
- Configure server and network‑level devices.
- Configure clustered Hyper‑V hosts.
- Manage network resources such as shares, printers, and databases.
- Follow 5S procedures.
- Other job‑related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software, and hardware.
- Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Efficient troubleshooting abilities.
- Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing, and active listening.
- Great customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Effective documentation skills, including the ability to manage tickets and record resolutions.
- Associate degree in computer science or information systems, or currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program.
- CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications preferred.
- Experience with setup of video conferencing software and hardware, mobile devices, iOS, etc. (a plus, but not required).
Work is performed indoors in a safe, well‑lit, temperature‑controlled environment. The role involves occasional exposure to low‑level industrial noise and exposure to ordinary office materials. Safety precautions for production areas, including the use of a static‑dissipative smock and appropriate footwear, are required. Offices contain standard office tools and technology.
Physical Demands- Stand for 90% of the time.
- Walk, sit, climb, stoop/kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed.
- Talk, hear, and comprehend English.
- Vision: near and far, color discrimination.
- Dexterity: manual finger use.
- Lift/Carry up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Arm and hand steadiness.
