Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesAt Tandigm Health, we are committed to building a more connected, data-driven healthcare system that improves outcomes for patients and providers. Here, data models are not just technical artifacts — they are engineering specifications that are the foundation for clinical and financial decision‑making. As a Dimensional Modeling Engineer, you will design and implement scalable star schemas that enable trusted, intuitive analytics across the organization.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience with dimensional modeling including SCD type 2, exceptional SQL skills, experience with healthcare data, and a passion to help others derive insights from well‑organized data.
Essential Functions Dimensional Modeling- Define dimensions and facts for enterprise analytics use cases
- Design and implement physical dimensional models
- Apply Slowly Changing Dimension strategies and conformance principles
- Partner with business stakeholders, architects, and analytics engineers
- Ensure clarity, performance, and long‑term maintainability of analytical structures
- Partner with business and analytics customers to understand their requirements and design data solutions to meet their needs.
- Work closely with product owners, analysts, architects, and external partners to deliver new data solutions and enhancements.
- Translate business and clinical requirements into clear technical designs and implementation plans.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- 3–6+ years of experience in data warehousing or analytics engineering
- Experience designing or implementing star schemas
- Strong SQL skills and attention to modeling detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working with healthcare data, such as Insurance / claims data, Clinical or EHR data, Pharmacy or PBM data
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards, regulatory requirements, or compliance considerations (e.g., HIPAA)
- Experience with Snowflake
- Experience with Data Vault methodology
- Experience operating in an Agile or Dev Ops‑oriented delivery environment
