Director of Business Development - Air Force Digital Transformation

An established government contractor expanding its Digital Transformation business across the U.S. Department of Defense and is looking for an experienced Director of Business Development to drive growth within the U.S. Air Force market.

This is a high-impact opportunity to help shape the future of Air Force enterprise IT modernization by identifying, developing, and capturing strategic opportunities across a rapidly growing portfolio. You'll play a key role in expanding customer relationships, influencing opportunities early in the acquisition lifecycle, and partnering with capture and technical teams to deliver innovative solutions.

What You'll Do

Drive business growth across Air Force Mission and Enterprise IT programs.

Build, qualify, and mature a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities.

Develop and strengthen relationships with Air Force customers and key stakeholders.

Shape opportunities prior to solicitation through early customer engagement.

Partner closely with Capture Managers, Solution Architects, and Operations teams to develop winning strategies.

Support pursuits from opportunity identification through capture and proposal development.

Contribute to the continued growth of the Digital Transformation portfolio.

What We're Looking For

Extensive experience supporting U.S. Air Force IT or Digital Transformation

programs.

Strong understanding of Mission and Enterprise IT modernization.

Established relationships across the Air Force customer community.

A proven track record of identifying, shaping, and capturing strategic opportunities.

Experience developing qualified pipelines and converting opportunities into revenue.

Knowledge of the full Business Development lifecycle, including opportunity qualification, capture strategy, and proposal support.

Experience collaborating with technical and capture teams to develop differentiated solutions.

Previous experience within a federal government contractor supporting DoD customers

Experience supporting or leading pursuits valued at $100M+.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
