We are looking for a positive and highly motivated individual to become an integral part of our IT team.
POSITION PURPOSEThe Business & Data Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day technology and operational systems that drive the administration of multiemployer health, retirement, and other benefit plans. This position serves as a bridge between business operations and technology, helping ensure systems function efficiently, data is maintained accurately, processes are documented, and users receive timely technical support.
The Business & Data Analyst works closely with internal departments, software vendors, consultants, and leadership to support benefits administration systems, reporting, business processes, software implementations, and technology initiatives. This position requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with experience supporting enterprise applications and business operations.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Application & Systems Support- Provide day-to-day support for benefit administration systems, including BASYS, Microsoft applications, and other operational platforms.
- Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate resolution with software vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Assist users with system navigation, functionality, and process-related questions.
- Monitor and test system updates, enhancements, and patches.
- Support software implementations, upgrades, and conversion projects.
- Assist with maintaining user security access and permissions.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and workflow enhancements.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
- Assist departments with identifying operational challenges and implementing technology-based solutions.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to improve operational effectiveness.
- Track and follow up on technology-related projects and operational initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and validate operational and management reports.
- Perform data analysis and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Assist with gathering, organizing, and validating data for audits and compliance reviews.
- Create ad hoc reports for management, clients, trustees, and operational departments.
- Work with departments to define reporting requirements and identify meaningful metrics.
- Serve as a liaison between business users, consultants, software vendors, and technical resources.
- Coordinate testing activities for system upgrades, enhancements, and new functionality.
- Assist in evaluating new software solutions and technology tools.
- Support implementation of new business applications, workflows, and operational technologies.
- Coordinate issue tracking and resolution efforts across departments.
- Develop user training materials, job aids, and process documentation.
- Conduct user training sessions for software, system enhancements, and operational procedures.
- Assist with onboarding new employees regarding technology systems and operational workflows.
- Promote best practices for system utilization and data management.
- Follow established data privacy, cybersecurity, and record retention policies.
- Assist with maintaining appropriate controls over sensitive participant, employer, and Fund information.
