Senior Principal Scientist, Data Science RWE

Role:
Lead scientific and technical expert in Real-World Evidence (RWE) within Johnson & Johnson's Innovative Medicines division, overseeing RWE projects, developing methodologies, and mentoring team members.

• lead end-to-end RWE studies including data feasibility, study design, analysis, and interpretation
• develop tools to streamline project delivery
• provide thought leadership on bias mitigation in external control and comparative studies
• generate insights from post-hoc RCT analyses and observational data to support regulatory interactions
• create study protocols and statistical analysis plans
• collaborate with therapeutic area scientists to shape RWE strategies

• Ph.D. in epidemiology or biostatistics
• minimum 5 years' relevant experience in biopharma or healthcare data analytics
• expert coding skills in R, Python, or SAS
• extensive experience with real-world data sources (EHR, claims, registries)
• proficiency in statistical bias mitigation techniques
• strong communication skills

• familiarity with drug discovery, clinical development, and therapeutic areas like Oncology, Immunology, or Neuroscience
• experience with regulatory-grade evidence and agency interactions
