In this role, you will serve on the Joint Staff Support Center (JSSC) Information Technology Support Services (JSSC-ITSS) contract as a Nuclear Planning and Execution System (NPES) Systems Administrator at the Raven Rock Mountain Complex (RRMC), Blue Ridge Summit, PA. The NPES Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the hardware and software supporting the Site-R NPES server/client baseline and providing Tier I/II/III IT operations support.

The position performs systems operations, administration, and maintenance; client and server operations; backup and recovery; storage administration; system patching; troubleshooting; technical documentation; configuration management; and cybersecurity compliance activities necessary to maintain the availability and operational readiness of the NPES environment. The position requires the ability to work with minimal direction, apply extensive technical expertise, independently resolve complex technical problems, and provide subject matter expertise in support of mission-critical information systems.

• Provide comprehensive systems administration and operational support for the Site-R NPES server/client environment, including production, test, and development systems. Perform installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, account management, performance tuning, resource monitoring, hardware/software support, and system sustainment.
• Provide Tier I/II/III technical support and troubleshooting for NPES systems and services, including incident and problem management, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, escalation, ticket documentation, and coordination with technical teams to restore and maintain normal service operations.
• Administer and maintain Windows-based servers and classified client systems
  , including operating systems, applications, system services, peripherals, software upgrades, and Government-approved configurations. Apply working knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments when required for system dependencies, integration, or troubleshooting.
• Perform system maintenance, patching, and cybersecurity activities
  , including testing and implementing operating system updates, COTS/GOTS releases, firmware updates, security patches, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, log review, and other actions necessary to maintain compliance with applicable DoD, DISA, and JSSC requirements.
• Manage backup, recovery, storage, and continuity operations to protect NPES systems, applications, and data. Support backup configuration and testing, restoration, storage capacity and performance, recovery planning, emergency shutdown/startup, and continuity of operations requirements.
