Overview
Aon is looking for a Customer Service Specialist I. As part of an industry‑leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions. This role has the flexibility to be based in Fort Washington, PA with a hybrid schedule (preferred) or 100% remote.
Your impact as a Customer Service Specialist IAs a member of our customer service team, you will interact with customers, support internal projects, and help identify opportunities for additional products.
Job Responsibilities- Handle inbound and outbound calls via 800 lines with a multi‑product portfolio – Professional Liability products.
- Respond to customer communications via email and written correspondence.
- Maintain service, quality and timeliness standards.
- Interact with other departments on various projects including new programs, products and technology.
- Support knowledge management transfer within the department through training, quality and intranet projects.
- Evaluate individual customers’ needs and propose additional insurance products based on personal and business needs.
- Maintain customer records by updating account or policy information and reconciling client payments against the policy administration system.
- Possess an active Property & Casualty Producer license – candidates without a P&C license will not be considered.
- 1‑3 years experience in customer service/call center/sales and service supporting multiple insurance products and/or financial services products.
- Experience with Professional Liability insurance for healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated goal‑oriented skills and ability to solve complex issues.
- Strong multi‑tasker.
- Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management System) preferred.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and follow‑up capability.
- Strong PC skills with solid knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to identify process efficiencies and handle daily activities in a thorough and accurate manner.
- Ability to think critically and use sound judgment when serving clients.
- Demonstrated relationship‑building skills evaluating individual insurance needs and offering appropriate products or solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $40,000 to $45,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
