Production Supervisor

Overview

Here at Scotts Miracle‑Gro, a typical day is anything but ordinary. Your work will be fast‑paced and varied, with constant opportunities for growth.

• Supervise a workforce of 20‑30 hourly full‑time and up to 30 seasonal/temporary associates in a multishift operation.
• Assign work and monitor progress; orient, train, interview, and recommend hiring of associates.
• Evaluate associate performance, counsel, and implement disciplinary action as needed.
• Establish associate work schedules.
• Execute and enforce government, company, and plant laws, procedures, and policies.
• Ensure quality and quantity standards are met cost‑effectively, while managing availability of materials and supplies.
• Problem‑solve quickly when operations deviate from plan.
• Communicate, implement, and monitor company‑provided safety programs and procedures.
• Foster a team environment and maintain positive associate relations in a union‑free environment.
• Prepare and maintain logs, records, and reports (production, maintenance, inventory, etc.).
• Purchase supplies, parts, and equipment as required.
• Assist in developing and monitoring the plant budget.
• Operate equipment side‑by‑side with the workforce.
• Support other supervisors and/or Plant Manager in directing overall plant operations and special projects.
• Contribute to plant productivity and goal setting.

Salary range: $82,500.00 – $97,100.00 per year, with incentive eligibility under corporate bonus programs. Base salary may be adjusted based on skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. Remote candidates in Alaska, California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Oregon, or Washington will have state pay thresholds applied to the base salary.
