Sr. Procurement Specialist

Primary Duties- Develop strategic initiatives that monitor and improve Supplier performance by creating and executing corrective action and continuous improvement plans.
- Keeping Asia Contributors aware and involved in our sourcing strategies and leveraging them when necessary.
- Challenging the suppliers on costing when appropriate.
- Stocking program management, optimization and recommendations.
- ROI procurement decisions- challenging decisions where appropriate.
- Work with planning to recommend any hedge buy/ safety stock updates/mrpcontroller changes based on supplier knowledge.
- Identify and develop sourcing plans for key commodities and/or products using strategic thinking and cross functional collaboration.
- Identify and deliver cost reduction commitments through the identification and development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Evaluate and select suppliers to support both new product development and cost savings initiatives based on total cost and performance analysis.
- Identify and negotiate with suppliers to provide the best pricing, serviceability and quality leveraging tools such as commodity trends and market conditions.
- Support development and deployment of a Supplier Relationship Management program to manage all interactions with suppliers and ensures alignment with company and product strategies.
- Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, resourceful, and work well within a team environment. Ability to initiate, communicate, and take action to resolve issues both internally and externally.
- Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of data.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite –Advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Proficiency within ERP/MRP environments.
- Ability to integrate with the cultural environment of the global supply base and Dorman international Offices.
- Ability to network within a cross-functional environment.
- Must adhere to and maintain ethical business standards and make unbiased business decisions.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, SAP, Business Objects, and Automotive/Electronics background preferred.

Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.
Education / Experience- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with concentration in one or more of the following disciplines:
Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Business. - 3-5 years’ experience as a business professional or military office.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $83,600 to $124,300. This role is also eligible for a bonus. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
