In this role, you'll partner closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Production, EHS, Receiving, Accounts Payable, and Procurement to ensure critical parts, equipment, supplies, and contractor services are available when needed to keep our manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, building strong supplier relationships, solving purchasing challenges, and supporting plant operations through responsive and strategic procurement.

What You'll Do
  • Purchase MRO materials, spare parts, equipment, tools, safety supplies, facility supplies, and indirect materials supporting plant operations.
  • Source new suppliers and obtain competitive quotations for maintenance, repair, contractor, and operational service needs.
  • Evaluate supplier pricing, quality, lead times, delivery schedules, and overall value when making purchasing decisions.
  • Issue purchase orders through Oracle ERP and monitor orders through delivery.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to expedite critical orders, resolve shortages, and communicate delivery updates to internal customers.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, freight, lead times, and service expectations with suppliers.
  • Support supplier contracts, Master Service Agreements, blanket purchase orders, and preferred supplier programs.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, and EHS to ensure purchased goods and services meet operational and safety requirements.
  • Assist with vendor onboarding, including insurance certificates, tax documentation, contractor compliance requirements, and supplier setup.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, receiving variances, and supplier concerns in partnership with Accounts Payable and Receiving.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and spend data within Oracle.
  • Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, cost savings, inventory optimization, and improved purchasing processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen procurement processes and increase visibility into maintenance spend.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field or equivalent purchasing experience.
  • 5-8 years of purchasing, procurement, or buyer experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience purchasing maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials, equipment, parts, or indirect goods and services.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Experience managing purchase orders, supplier quotations, and vendor communications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while responding to urgent production and maintenance needs.
