Strategic Sourcing Manager
Salary: $61,500 with $6,500 bonus potential
Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, optimize procurement and sourcing processes, and drive cost savings while minimizing supply chain risk. Partner cross-functionally with Research & Development (R&D), Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to support product development, supplier onboarding, regulatory compliance, and successful domestic and international product launches.
• Partner with sourcing leadership team to manage the company's supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending
• Develop and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers, domestically and internationally
• Create metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier effectiveness to generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies
• Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure
• Create negotiation strategies and secure profitable deals
• Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
• Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
• Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques to ensure supply chain protection
• Minimize supply chain risk by diversifying supply partners via dual sourcing and geographical locations
• Facilitate meetings for supply chain development and sourcing efforts
• Modify and communicate any changes to prints showing critical changes made and/or required
• Onboard new suppliers by processing all necessary regulatory documents required to add a new supplier to the Pride Mobility Approved Supplier List (ASL)
• Prepare Oracle Purchase orders/requisitions to support R&D samples or tooling orders
• Facilitate supplier visits within the facility for all departments that must be in attendance
• Facilitate productivity of multiple teams such as Research & Development (R&D) Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Designs, Drafting, Test Lab and Machine Shop
• Develop strong working relationships with all functional teams including R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales and Distribution
• Cooperate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes
• Develop familiarity with regulatory requirements to make compliance recommendations
• Travel to domestic and international contract manufacturers as needed for product launches
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
• Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
• Complete the Annual CTPAT Security Training
• Focus on continuous improvement and provide recommended solutions as it relates to process and procedures
• Consistently demonstrate good business judgment especially as related to negotiating and closing sales
• Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
• Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
• Must be a friendly team player, professional, detail-oriented, and honest

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and instructions as required

Skills:
• Basic working knowledge of Oracle and/or Agile preferred
• Lift/push/pull 40 lbs. preferred
Required Experience:
• At least 3 years of experience as a strategic sourcing or procurement professional responsible for developing, assessing, and negotiating a viable supply chain
Preferred Experience:
• At least 2 years of global sourcing experience including Mexico preferred
