The H&K Group is seeking a 2nd Shift Floating Weighmaster to support our construction materials operations across multiple Mid-Atlantic sites. In this role, you will operate truck scales, accurately weigh inbound and outbound materials, and issue tickets while maintaining precise records in scale and dispatch systems. You'll coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and plant teams to keep traffic flowing safely and efficiently, verify orders and material types, and follow strict safety and environmental standards.
As a floating weigh master, you'll travel between locations as needed, gaining diverse experience across our family-owned, safety-focused, and team-oriented organization with opportunities for growth and long-term career development.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor truck scales to accurately weigh inbound and outbound construction materials
- Issue and reconcile scale tickets and shipping documents
- Enter and verify weight, material, and customer data in scale/dispatch systems
- Communicate with drivers, dispatch, and plant/yard personnel to coordinate loading and traffic flow
- Verify orders, material types, and job information for accuracy and compliance
- Perform basic cash/charge transaction handling and daily reconciliation as needed
- Travel between sites as a floating weigh master and adapt to varying plant procedures
- Follow all safety policies, traffic controls, and environmental regulations
- Assist with basic office/administrative tasks and recordkeeping
- Report equipment or system issues and support continuous process improvement
