This position focuses on providing safe and courteous transportation for older adults and wheelchair users. It is a hands-on role that supports consumers through reliable service and kind communication. As a Van Driver, you will perform the following duties:

• Transportation Safety:
  Operate a County vehicle safely to help consumers get to appointments
• Rider Assistance:
  Help consumers board, exit, and move along uneven or unpaved paths with care and dignity
• Technology
  
  Skills:
  
  Use an assigned tablet and approved devices to review schedules and complete required program records
• Communication:
  Maintain clear, consistent communication with dispatch, agency staff, and consumers
• Professional Conduct:
  Demonstrate patience, professionalism, and reliability throughout all job duties

• Part-time employment, 14-21+ hours per week
• Transportation operates 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturdays
• Telework:
  You will not have the option to telework in this position.

• One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

• You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.

• No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• You must pass a background investigation.
• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
