Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Cleaning Services

U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated building maintenance services company, is seeking experienced, highly motivated temporary Janitor in Cheyney, Pennsylvania. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Observe facility standards of sanitation and safety in cleaning procedures.
• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Dust, clean, and/or polish all surfaces.
• Collect and dispose of paper and rubbish and transport it to the designated location.
• Follow procedures for the proper use of chemical cleaners and cleaning supplies, and equipment, to prevent damage to floors and other objects.
• Clean windows, glass, and mirrors, using appropriate cleaners and equipment.
• Clean, disinfect, monitor, and maintain restrooms, corridors, and other public and back-of-house areas throughout the facility.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Receive deliveries and put away supplies.
• Stock necessary cleaning and paper supplies in janitor closets; refill/replace hand towels, soap, and other materials in restrooms.
• Spot clean rugs and carpets; perform carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Clean up after visitors or other staff members to ensure high standards of sanitation are maintained.
• Follow housekeeping schedule outlined by the immediate supervisor.

May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and changing business practices.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to pass a background check as required by U.S. Facilities and its client.
• Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, various shifts, weekends, alternative work schedules, and during severe weather events as needed.
• Drug screening is required.
• Must be able to speak, read, and understand oral and written instructions in English.
• Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.

Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Hourly Rate: $16.80 per hour
