Mobile Trailer Technician

Pay: $/hr.

Shift: Mon-Thu or Tue-Fri from 7am to 5pm

• Cannonball Recruiting is seeking experienced a Trailer Technician for a Trailer Service Department in Manheim, PA.
• Perform all phases of repairs and modifications to semi-trailers in a safe and productive manner.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of experience working on Semi-Trailers
• Expectations include the ability to diagnose, repair, and guide technicians in the following:
• • Electrical Systems
  • Structural Repairs
  • Chassis Repairs
  • Hydraulic / Air Brake / ABS systems
  • Lift Gate Systems
  • Basic Reefer Repairs
  • Federal DOT Inspections
  • Perform all levels of preventive maintenance
  • Identify warrantable repairs and document using provided UKTS processes
• Must be able to keep up in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Excellent organization, customer service, communication and planning skills

• Noise levels are moderate to high at times.
• The physical exertion is moderate to heavy. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and or move up to 100 pounds.
• The employee must be capable of continuously climbing up and down into a trailer.

• Meets daily with the Lease/Rental Operations Supervisor and other operations personnel to discuss scheduling and demands for equipment
• Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and constant focus on daily efficiency and production
• Perform repairs and inspections on all lease/rental semi-trailer makes and models
• Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on trailers, along with DOT inspections
• Repair/Replace trailer components
• Open and close repair orders on company issued laptop
• Manage parts inventory on the service truck
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion
• Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within standard repair times
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local government and company standards for reliability and safety
