Critical areas include the maintenance of all assigned building(s) in a state of operational excellence such that they present no interruptions, distractions, or obstacles to the education program.

• Daily custodial cleaning/preservation of facilities, buildings, spaces, equipment, and furniture
• Maintain work related records and prepare work reports as directed
• Provide custodial/maintenance services to support curricular and extracurricular events and activities
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for daily cleaning
• Provide inventory usage data updates to Head Custodian (as needed)
• Identify, schedule and perform seasonal routine cleaning of facilities
• Provide customer service to district staff, students and visitors as needed
• Prioritize duties to address emergencies as needed
• Oversee buildings and grounds security to include opening and closing of buildings and/or facilities and ensuring that all doors are secure
• Unload and load supplies, materials and equipment as required
• Landscaping duties including, but not limited to: mowing, weeding, and grounds maintenance
• Snow removal duties including shoveling snow and salting walkways
• Adherence to all Custodial Department requirements including proper use of machinery and equipment
• Available to address on call or overtime needs for emergency repairs, equipment monitoring, or any other District requests
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Buildings and Grounds, Head Custodian, or Building Administrator

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3 months related experience and/or training is required. The following clearances must be provided upon hire and updated every five years in accordance with Act 153: PA State Police
- Act 34, Child Abuse-Act 151, and FBI Fingerprint-Act 114. Child Abuse training (or proof of completion) in accordance with Act 126 upon hire and repeated every five years thereafter. A negative TB test is required upon hire.
