Position: MAINTENANCE WORKER 3RD SHIFT
Location: Hollidaysburg

PURPOSE OF POSITION The primary purpose of your job position is to maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by your supervisor, to assist in other tasks as assigned with which you have been safely trained to accomplish.

DELEGATION OF AUTHORITYAs Maintenance Worker you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment including, but not limited to, plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed in accordance with established procedures.

Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance on equipment/systems as scheduled or directed.

Perform basic troubleshooting.

Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outline in our established maintenance policies and procedures.

Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and operation manuals.

Maintain communication with the Director of Maintenance/Security re: issues affecting the facility.

Maintain knowledge and operation of maintenance/security aspects of the facility.

Maintain facility in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment.

Respond to fire alarms as required (refer to Fire Safety Manual for employees responsibilities and those that are specific to your position.

Follow established infection control measures in the performance of duties, including, but not limited to, hand hygiene, exposure to blood and body fluids, and universal precautions.

Maintain compliance with applicable regulations.

Attend and participate in in-service education and on-the-job training as directed, especially mandatory in-services and department meetings.

Perform standard groundskeeping duties as designated by supervisor this includes but is not limited to:

Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls.

Gather and remove litter. Dispose of trash or waste materials properly
