Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for keeping operations running smoothly and safely? We’re seeking a proactive Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee daily maintenance activities, lead a small team, and ensure our facilities remain functional, clean, and compliant with safety standards.

* This is a 1st shift role working at our facility in Hatfield, PA. The hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4pm. Must be available to respond to after-hours or emergency issues on an occasional, as-needed basis.

The Facilities Maintenance Manager owns daily facilities operations, including buildings, grounds, utilities, internal service requests, contractors and facilities projects. The role also develops and manages the equipment-maintenance program through work planning, preventive maintenance, trained technicians and specialist vendors. The manager leads the team, manages approved budgets and recommends capital replacements, ensuring dependable facilities service and equipment support.

The manager participates in Safety Committee meetings and, with the Safety Coordinator, leads execution of the company’s safety strategy and responses to hazards, incidents and corrective actions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own internal facilities requests from intake through resolution. Set daily priorities and assignments, communicate status and coordinate work with department managers to limit operational disruption.
  • Own after-hours facilities response and maintenance escalation, with defined backup coverage and escalation of major safety, production or spending concerns.
  • Manage contractors within approved authority: obtain scopes and quotes, verify insurance and required documentation, arrange site access, set safety expectations and confirm service completion.
  • Lead facilities projects as Project Manager. Control scope, approved budget, schedule and closeout; coordinate layouts, equipment moves, installation readiness, permits, inspections and commissioning support.
  • Manage operating and project budgets established and approved by Operations. Track spending, forecast needs, report variances and flag expected overruns before committing expenditures.
  • Participate in Safety Committee meetings and, with the Safety Coordinator, execute safety priorities and responses. Coordinate hazard assessments, training, inspections, audit support, required records and corrective-action follow-through.
  • Ensure safe employee and contractor work, including work-area controls, equipment isolation, PPE and safe return to service. Stop or elevate unsafe conditions and ensure work matches training and authorization.
  • Develop and manage a risk-based maintenance program covering asset ownership, criticality, preventive maintenance, repair/rebuild planning and overdue-work recovery. Coordinate equipment access and establish practical task standards.
  • Direct equipment troubleshooting and repairs through technicians and qualified vendors. Ensure work is completed and documented; coordinate technical acceptance with Technical and Quality when equipment capability is affected.
  • Establish critical-spares requirements, stocking levels, lead times and replenishment responsibilities. Ensure equipment history, maintenance records and vendor documentation remain current.
  • Maintain capital-replacement recommendations using condition, failure history, operational risk, cost and lead times. Assess facilities and maintenance needs for growth and…
