The Forest Maintenance Supervisor position with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources offers an exciting chance to lead important projects that support the health and safety of the Pinchot Forest District. This role brings together leadership, outdoor work, and teamwork to keep forest roads, trails, and facilities in strong condition. You will guide crews, solve problems, and help protect valuable natural resources.

- Crew Supervision:
Lead employees who construct, repair, and maintain forest roads, trails, and facilities - Work Planning:
Organize schedules, assign tasks, and review project needs for equipment and supplies - Employee Guidance:
Discuss safety procedures, demonstrate proper methods, and evaluate performance - Project Oversight:
Prepare reports, review logs, and make recommendations to district management - Resource Protection:
Support wildfire suppression efforts and protect natural features within the district - Administrative Duties:
Approve leave, review grievances, and complete required records and documentation
- Full‑time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch
- Travel and overtime required
- No telework option
- Salary may be non‑negotiable in some cases
- Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
- Four years of semi‑skilled maintenance or construction experience, including one year operating small and medium‑size construction or agricultural equipment; or an equivalent combination of experience and training
- Special Requirements
- Active motor vehicle license required
- Class A Commercial Driver's license required
- Other Requirements
- Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirement
- Must be able to perform essential job functions
- Legal Requirements
- Conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening
