Upper Gwynedd Township, Montgomery County, PA (population 17,072) seeks a qualified individual to fill the Full‑time Maintenance Coordinator of Wastewater Operations position.

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Wastewater Operations or his or her designee, the Maintenance Coordinator supervises the repair and maintenance of buildings and mechanical equipment installed in these buildings. They ensure the timely installation and upkeep of the Township's property and systems to ensure operational effectiveness. Maintaining effective communication and working relationships with fellow employees and direct reports is a must.

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for managing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of the Township's wastewater treatment facilities. Duties include maintaining machinery, planning repair activities, and developing maintenance procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary as well as organizational and leadership abilities.

The successful candidate will be expected to work the Township's standard business hours of 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. In addition, this position is subject to the 24/7 operational needs of the Department and serves in an on‑call leadership capacity 365 days per year.

This position serves as the first point of contact after the scheduled on‑call operator. The employee is responsible for assessing the situation, coordinating the appropriate personnel response, and notifying the Director or Deputy Director as necessary. Until the employee obtains the required certifications and is fully authorized, they may not make process or operational changes and must contact the Director or Deputy Director for direction.

Upon successful completion of the required training and certifications, the employee will be required to participate in the Department's mandatory rotating on‑call schedule, including weeknight and weekend coverage.
