Emergency Manager

The Emergency Manager provides leadership, coordination, and administration of Villanova University's comprehensive all-hazards emergency management program. Reporting to the Director of Environmental Health and Safety, this position is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving emergency preparedness, mitigation, response, recovery, continuity, and resilience programs across the University's campuses and operations.

The Emergency Manager works collaboratively with University leadership, Public Safety, Facilities Management, Student Life, University Communications, the Office of the Provost, University Information Technology, Athletics, Research Administration, and external partners to ensure institutional readiness for emergencies and disruptive events. The position serves as the University's primary coordinator for emergency management planning, preparedness training, exercises, incident support, continuity planning, and emergency management program development.

The Emergency Manager develops and maintains emergency operations plans, annexes, procedures, and preparedness initiatives that support the University's ability to protect life, maintain critical functions, sustain academic and business operations, and recover efficiently from emergencies. The position coordinates institutional emergency preparedness efforts across multiple campuses and supports major events, special events, and other activities requiring emergency planning and coordination.
