Sr. Manager AP Operations

Location: Malvern

The Senior Manager, AP Operations leads the end-to-end delivery and transformation of invoice processing and supplier payment services across Saint-Gobain North America, overseeing approximately $5 billion in annual invoice activity. This role leads internal teams and outsourced service partners to deliver accurate, timely, cost-effective, and well-controlled operations while strengthening the supplier and business unit experience. As a key GBS leader, the Senior Manager drives performance, talent development, process standardization, automation, analytics, and continuous improvement, partnering across GBS, Finance, Purchasing, Treasury, and the businesses to manage risk, resolve issues, and manage a scalable, high-performing AP organization.

Main responsibilities include:

+ Deliver end-to-end AP services for North American businesses, including invoice processing, exception management, supplier payments, and support.

+ Lead AP Operations teams and outsourced partners ensuring accountability, capacity, and performance against commitments.

+ Ensure accurate, timely, cost-effective invoice and payment processing, with prompt resolution of exceptions and inquiries.

+ Monitor service levels, KPIs, productivity, quality, and on-time payment; use analytics to manage risks and corrective actions.

+ Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement to increase touchless processing, reduce exceptions, strengthen controls, and enhance service.

+ Partner with business units, Finance, Purchasing, Treasury, IT, and offshore teams to resolve issues and improve end-to-end performance.

+ Lead AP change initiatives, implementations, integrations, acquisitions, divestitures, and projects, ensuring readiness and sustained adoption.

+ Develop AP talent through coaching, succession planning, cross-training, and targeted development, fostering accountability and service excellence.

+ Hybrid position based in the Malvern, PA office.

+ BS Business Administration/Accounting, Advanced Degree preferred.

+ 15+ years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility with a major complex manufacturing organization. A strong emphasis should be put on knowledge of accounts payables, internal controls, and related accounting processes.

+ Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams, including experience working with outsourced service providers and geographically dispersed teams.

+ Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate long-term objectives into actionable plans and deliver complex analyses.

+ Advanced knowledge of ERP and financial systems; SAP and/or QAD experience preferred, along with experience using AP workflow and disbursement solutions.

+ Strategic thinker with strong AP, disbursements, controls, and technology expertise who anticipates trends, drives innovation, and mitigates risk.

+ Advanced analytical and organizational skills, with a track record of delivering results on complex, broadly scoped projects.

+ Confident in coaching, mentoring, influencing, and providing direction at all levels, including virtual and multicultural teams.

+ Excellent communication, presentation, relationship management, and change leadership skills, with a decisive, self-directed, and adaptable working style.
