Department: Industrial Services Reports To: Field Supervisor / Project Manager
Position SummaryThe Industrial Services Laborer is responsible for safely performing a wide range of industrial cleaning and maintenance services at industrial facilities such as client sites and CT Industrial Services owned sites. This role supports operations including confined space entry, spill response, hydroblasting, line jetting, tank cleaning, vacuum services, and other specialty industrial services. Work is performed in physically demanding environments and requires strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Perform industrial cleaning services including but not limited to:
- Confined space entry and attendant duties
- Line jetting and hydroblasting operations
- Tank cleaning and decontamination
- Vacuum truck operations support
- Pipe and process system cleaning
- Set up and break down job sites, including hoses, pumps, vac systems, and safety equipment
- Assist with operation of high-pressure water blasting and jetting equipment
- Follow all OSHA, company, and client safety standards
- Participate in daily Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and safety meetings, as well as safety documentation
- Wear required PPE including respirators, harnesses, and protective suits
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition
- Work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and industrial environments
- Travel to customer sites as required
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Extensive traveling is mandatory as needed. Crews typically travel out of town Monday thru Friday
- Per diem is $50.00 per day that employee is out of town and stays overnight away from home.
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and physical exam
- Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications (OSHA 10/30, Confined Space, HAZWOPER, etc.)
- Ability to perform the physical labor demands of the job responsibilities
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures and industrial environments
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and emergency call-outs
- Ability to lift 50'75 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and crawl for extended periods
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
- Ability to wear respiratory protection and full PPE
- Industrial facilities including refineries, manufacturing plants, mills, and processing facilities
- Exposure to noise, chemicals, dust, and outdoor weather conditions
- Fast-paced, safety-sensitive work environment
