Wieland is hiring a Production Manager. The Production Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. They coordinate resources, manage teams, and implement strategies to meet production goals while maintaining high standards of quality and cost-effectiveness. This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site.
ResponsibilitiesProduction Manager Responsibilities:
- Executes a safe and injury-free work environment.
- Maintain optimal staffing levels to meet production demands.
- Plan and approve overtime based on production needs.
- Appraises subordinates and submits appraisal.
- Interacts closely with all departments to ensure optimal production.
- Implement lean methodologies to drive improvement in safety, quality, and cost performance.
- Ensures compliance with policies, uses disciplinary action as needed.
- Professional development of self and team. Promoting team building and efficiency.
- Mentors and coach subordinates in developing a continuous improvement environment based on our Wieland values.
- Resolves worker issues or submits issues to the Operations Manager for action.
- Responsible for routine safety, housekeeping and quality inspections throughout the plant.
- Strives continually to improve manpower utilization in alignment with Production Planning.
- Work closely and partner with Human Resources focusing on culture, onboarding, retention and training.
Oversee all daily activities of the production floor.
Production Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelors' degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 5+years in manufacturing; 5+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Demonstrates characteristics of strong team building and leadership skills.
- Proven leaderships skills in communication, collaboration and accountability in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have strong analytical, organizational & decision-making skills to execute and manage effectively.
- Computer Literacy to include Microsoft Office Products such as:
Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc. - Broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies.
- Efficient thorough record keeping and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 10% of the time.
