How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for all aspects of repair, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance related to production and engineering operations at Air Liquide Advanced Materials. Included is troubleshooting and repair of equipment associated with all gas manifolds and the associated facility equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Installation and/or modification of chemical processing equipment as well as the repair and troubleshooting of auxiliary equipment associated with all chemical processing equipment and other facility equipment.
  • Assist in promoting safety and organization in the maintenance dept.
  • Continue review and updating of Work Instructions.
  • Recommend preventative maintenance intervals based on repair data.
  • Responsible for the execution of the Preventative Maintenance Program and the Monitoring and Measuring Devices Program.
  • Specialize in Engineering improvement construction projects, ensuring that projects have a well-defined scope and schedule which has been reviewed by all affected parties.
  • Recommend spare parts inventory levels.
  • Write Purchase Requisition s for needed parts.
  • Perform all component rebuilds and calibrations.
  • Understand and follow the process flow within chemical processing equipment.
  • Perform valid leak checks.
  • Follow all work instructions and safety protocol.
  • Organize and sort information using available computer software.
  • Successfully complete all assigned training.
  • Maintain a clean‑shaven appearance at all times.
  • Wear a full face tight‑fitting respirator and a fully encapsulated (Level

    A) ER suit, SCBA, or any other tight‑fitting and/or supplied air respirators.
  • Roll cylinders (tilt with one hand and roll with the other).
  • Lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.
  • Actively participate on ALAM’s emergency response (ER) team including as an ER entry team member, which requires wearing a tight‑fitting full‑face respirator.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years Industrial Maintenance experience, preferably in chemical industry or industry related to fluid systems.
  • Knowledge of Gas (Pressure) system component theory and operation.
  • Medical respiratory test and physical test pass to wear a full face respirator.
  • Ability to read and construct from a P& Engineering drawing.
  • Basic electronic, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills.
  • General Maintenance skills.
  • Tube bending skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Fit for duty: lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Gas (Pressure) system component theory and operation.
  • Vacuum system component theory and operation.
  • Previous emergency response experience or certification.
