Our client in Leola, PA is seeking a Machine Operator to provide cross-functional support across Tooling, Blending, Grinding, and Quality Assurance (QA). This individual will also perform the duties of a Lead Operator in Production—overseeing output, ensuring specifications are met, and maintaining overall product quality. The Utility Lead will serve as a fill-in Supervisor when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Tool and Die with changeovers and line start-ups
- Support Maintenance with minor equipment repairs
- Perform duties of a day or night shift Lead Operator as needed
- Make heat adjustments on extruders to maintain quality standards
- Maintain Ink Jet printers and select proper prints
- Provide coverage and breaks for line operators
- Complete Production Pre-Start Checklists and start up lines efficiently to produce quality product
- Ensure tooling is stored correctly and work areas are organized
- Promote safe work practices, positive attitude, and company goals
- Select proper silo and material for product runs
- Assist with onboarding and training of new hires in Production
- Support daily production process improvements
- Perform Blending/Grinding or QA Technician duties as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Must be qualified at the A Operator level
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent training (Fundamentals of PLCs, Programming Controllers, Troubleshooting and Repair of PLCs) preferred, with 3+ years of practical electronics experience
