This description lists the responsibilities, qualifications, and required expectations for the Manufacturing Engineer role.

• Designs and develops manufacturing processes for products.
• Such design and development may include new or revised processes.
• Develops procedures in cooperation with quality and production departments.
• Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over applicable variables; and services, troubleshoots and solves production process problems with processes or equipment already in operation.
• Recommends tools and test equipment.
• Might make recommendations concerning acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials.
• Communicates with internal stakeholders and external customers to manage complex manufacturability issues from identification through resolution.
• An ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing standards, conventional machining, and special processes such as brazing, heat treating, chemical processing and/or painting.

• Education:
  
  4-year STEM degree + 4 years experience.
• Strong knowledge of brazing and heat treating processes.
• Customer-facing experience with communicating and problem solving.
• Aerospace industry preferred; automotive industry is comparable.
