General Labor, Forklift Operator
Position Summary
The Forklift Operator I is primarily responsible for safely operating basic powered material handling equipment including sit-down/stand-up forklift and electric pallet jack for product receipt, storage and order fulfillment. This position ensures product safety, quality, legality and integrity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Loading and unloading pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines, by hand or equipment
- Safely loading/unloading, transporting, and stacking materials using forklifts
- Sorting and building products to pallets to ensure compliance with customer expectations
- Using machinery to apply shrink wrap to pallets
- Performing quality control to ensure accuracy of all transactions
- Performing daily equipment inspections for maintenance
- Maintaining accuracy of storage locations by performing daily cycle counts and routine inventory maintenance tasks
- Performing other distribution work functions as needed due to business volume and need
- Adhering to strict OSHA safety rules
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Ability to operate basic powered material handling equipment (electric pallet jack and stand-up/sit-down forklift)
- Must meet all PPE requirements
- Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and coordination
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to follow policies and procedures
- Ability to read, write and interpret information
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Ability to use hands, fingers, handle or feel
- Ability to sit, walk or stand for the duration of the shift
- Must possess visual acuity to perform essential job functions
- Ability to conduct physical tasks with a full range of motion throughout a warehouse environment
- Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 pounds
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Day Shift)

Pay: $21.50 per hour
