Champion Home Builders, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to join our team at the Skyline Homes manufacturing facility in Leola, PA.

Directs and coordinates the production of company products in the absence of the Production Manager by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. When the Production Manager is on site, the Assistant follows and supports the manager's direction.

• Provides on‑the‑job guidance and training to Foremen.
• Enforces safety policies with Foremen and production employees.
• Coordinates personnel management with Human Resources.
• Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to achieve optimum utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
• Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to identify causes of nonconformity with product specifications and production problems.
• Develops and implements operating methods and procedures to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
• Revises production schedules and priorities in response to equipment failures or operating problems.
• Consults with engineering personnel regarding modifications of machines and equipment to improve production and quality.

Manages subordinate supervisors who oversee plant employees when the Production Manager is unavailable. Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and resolving problems.

One‑year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Flexibility to work under stringent deadlines and high work pressure on a regular basis.
