We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Technician to become a key member of our team in Quarryville, PA. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure the integrity of our materials and processes, directly impacting our finished products. As a Quality Technician, you will support our manufacturing operations by performing analytical testing, process observation, visual casting inspection, and maintaining quality documentation.

What You'll Do
  • Preparation of metal samples (cutting, grinding, polishing) for various tests.
  • Operate and maintain Optical Emission Spectrometers (OES) and other analytical equipment to determine the chemical composition of raw materials and finished castings.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and calibration checks on all lab equipment to ensure accuracy.
  • Execute Tensile and Hardness Tests (e.g., Brinell, Rockwell) on cast metal samples to confirm mechanical properties meet specifications.
  • Record, analyze, and interpret test results, promptly reporting any deviations or non-conformances to the Quality and Production teams.
  • Perform microscopic evaluation of metal structure to assess nodularity, structure, porosity, and inclusion levels.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests, analyses, and material certifications.
  • Assist in maintaining the laboratory's quality management system, adhering to ISO 9001 standards and internal safety protocols.
  • Support problem‑solving initiatives related to material quality and process control.
  • Process audits to confirm production compliance with written standards.
  • Visual inspection of castings for final quality check before shipment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong math and analytical skills with ability to interpret technical specifications and data.
  • Familiarity with lab safety procedures and handling of chemicals and hot materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
