Job Description

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Haas CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components. This role requires expertise in G-code programming, CAD/CAM software, and hands-on machining experience. The ideal candidate will support production goals by optimizing machine performance, ensuring quality standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

* Program, set up, and operate Haas CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components.

* Optimize machine performance to meet production goals.

* Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency.

* Train and mentor junior machinists.

Essential Skills

* Proficiency in G-code programming and CAD/CAM software.

* Experience with 3-axis, 4th, and 5th axis Haas mills.

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T symbols.

* Experience with tight tolerances (e.g., ±0.0002") and high-precision parts.

* Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Skills & Qualifications

* Experience with AutoCAD and mechanical drafting in both 2D and 3D.

* Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing practices and industry standards.

* Welding and fabrication experience (MIG/TIG) is a plus.

* Proficiency in CAM software such as Mastercam and Solid Works CAM.

* Understanding of machining principles, feeds/speeds, and tool selection.

* Solid skills in Solid Works, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.

* High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree preferred.

* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in CNC programming and machining, specifically with Haas equipment.

Work Environment

This position is in a family-owned, small to midsize machine shop, characterized by a collaborative and straightforward work culture with minimal politics. The company operates on straight shifts, offering flexibility with options of 7-3 pm, 3-11 pm, and 11-7 am.

This is a Permanent position based out of Bellefonte, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
