Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: 1501 Industrial Blvd, Mainland, PA 19451
Shift: 1st
Pay: $90K-$100K plus bonus
Accupac is a leading provider of manufacturing solutions for cosmetics, personal care, and medical devices. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and improving manufacturing equipment and processes to meet product specifications and production targets while ensuring safety and compliance.
Responsibilities- Design, modify, and improve manufacturing equipment, packaging machinery, and assembly line layouts using SOLIDWORKS.
- Create and update 3D models, parts, assemblies, drawings, system layouts, schematics, and equipment documentation.
- Support new design requirements and enhancements to existing equipment, focusing on packaging lines and production efficiency.
- Analyze product specifications, performance requirements, equipment capabilities, space limitations, cost, timing, and operational needs to determine feasible engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, operations, and management teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and improve machine performance, safety, reliability, and output.
- Lead engineering projects involving custom packaging line design, conveyor systems, 3D‑printed parts, machine modifications, and process improvements.
- Work with vendors on equipment designs to ensure compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements, and operational expectations.
- Develop, document, and implement new methods, procedures, and SOPs to improve manufacturing operations, reduce costs, and increase labor and material efficiency.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles to identify and execute process improvements.
- Manage engineering projects from concept through implementation, including planning, design, troubleshooting, documentation, timelines, and cross–functional communication.
- Interact with clients as needed to support engineering discussions, project updates, technical requirements, and manufacturing solutions.
- Stay current on engineering, manufacturing, and packaging technology trends to support ongoing equipment and process improvements.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands‑on SOLIDWORKS experience with parts, assemblies, drawings, and manufacturing‑related design work.
- Strong design experience in a manufacturing environment, including packaging machinery, assembly lines, conveyor systems, or similar production equipment.
- Manufacturing Engineering background preferred, with exposure to packaging, consumer products, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, electronics, or similar production environments.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment issues and partnering with maintenance and production teams.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including managing timelines, priorities, vendors, documentation, and cross‑functional communication.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, SOP creation, or process improvement is strongly preferred.
- Ability to create, review, and interpret technical drawings, layouts, schematics, and engineering documentation.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Computer‑Aided Design software; expert‑level SOLIDWORKS capability preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical teams.
- Work independently with minimal training and take ownership of engineering projects from design through implementation.
- Read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Physical ability to sit for most of the workday, walk or stand on concrete floors, bend, climb step stools, lift/carry up to 25 lbs, and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
