TOPS Staffing is hiring experienced CNC Machinists for a growing manufacturing operation seeking skilled setup machinists for its afternoon shift team. • Pay:
  Up to $35.00/hour based on experience
• Annual Bonus:
  Potential to earn $8,000+ per year

About the Role:

This position is ideal for machinists who enjoy setup work and taking ownership of their machine. Operators are responsible for running a variety of parts throughout the shift, often performing multiple setups and changeovers on assigned CNC mills or lathes. You'll work independently while supporting production, quality, and efficiency goals in a modern manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC mills or lathes
• Perform multiple setups and product changeovers throughout the shift
• Load programs and verify machine setup
• Change tooling and adjust offsets as needed
• Establish work holding using fixtures, vises, clamps, and related tooling
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments when necessary
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment
• Read blueprints, job travelers, and production documentation
• Maintain quality standards and production records
• Keep work areas clean and organized

Qualifications:

• Experience setting up and operating CNC machining centers or lathes
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience in a high-mix, low-to-mid volume manufacturing environment preferred
