Forklift Operator and Material Handler
This position involves handling and processing products to ensure proper loading, unloading, weighing, bagging, packing, unpacking, and labeling of pallets. The role includes palletizing frozen meat from the chest freezer and placing it on pallets for shipment. Additionally, the individual will operate a sit-down forklift to move products efficiently.
Responsibilities- Load and unload products carefully to maintain quality.
- Weigh, bag, pack, unpack, and label pallets accurately.
- Palletize frozen meat from the chest freezer for shipment.
- Operate a sit-down forklift to transport products within the facility.
- Proficiency in warehouse operations and general labor tasks.
- Experience in material handling and lifting.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and effectively.
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse environments and safety protocols.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is colder, particularly due to handling frozen materials, with temperatures ranging from 50 degrees in winter to 80 degrees in summer. Employees should be comfortable working in a setting with strong odors due to frozen meat products, specifically totes of chicken parts.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mifflintown, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.67 - $20.67/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
