Position Summary
The Line Technician is a key member of the production team responsible for operating and supporting the powder coating line from start to finish. This hands‑on role involves preparing parts, hanging and racking product, monitoring the coating process, and pulling finished goods – all while maintaining quality and safety standards. The Line Tech also assists with fabrication tasks as production needs require.

- Hang, rack, and load parts onto the powder coating line in preparation for coating.
- Operate and monitor conveyor line, oven, and spray booth equipment.
- Inspect coated parts for defects such as runs, drips, thin coverage, or contamination.
- Pull, unload, and stage finished parts upon completion of the coating process.
- Perform masking, plugging, and surface prep (e.g., sanding, cleaning) before coating.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the line, spray booth, and surrounding work area.
- Perform color changes and equipment changeovers as directed.
- Assist with basic metal fabrication tasks, including cutting, grinding, and deburring.
- Support welding and assembly operations as needed.
- Read and interpret work orders and basic blueprints or drawings.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, saws, and drill presses safely.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.
- Maintain accurate production records and communicate status to supervisors.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and housekeeping standards.
- Assist other team members and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for the duration of a shift (8–10+ hours).
- Lift and carry parts or materials up to 50 lbs. regularly; heavier loads with assistance.
- Reach, bend, stoop, and work in confined or awkward positions as required.
- Work in hot environments near ovens and spray booths.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (gloves, respirator, safety glasses, etc.).
- Indoor industrial/ manufacturing facility.
- Exposure to powder coating chemicals, fumes, heat, and noise — PPE required.
- Full‑time schedule; overtime may be required based on production needs.
