Job OverviewWe have an immediate full time opening and are searching for a new team member to join our Warehouse/Packout Department in Portland. This is an entry level opportunity that is supported by a team that will train you to perform in our unique environment.
What You Can Expect To Be Doing- This position is "hands on" and the individual should have a self-starter mindset.
- Use a forklift to move inventory to proper locations in the warehouse. Note this is not strictly a forklift position.
- Operate machinery (area bag and silo) and all associated equipment.
- Ensure the product is packaged, strapped, and labeled properly prior to shipping.
- Make labels and handle rework boxes.
- Set up packaging supplies (build boxes, retrieve pallets, build lids, install liners, etc.).
- Monitor and report any damage to boxes, contamination, or discrepancies.
- Maintain and complete required paperwork for proper product identification and traceability.
- Responsible for executing all safety protocols - safety is critical to everyone's success.
- Responsible for keeping your designated work area clean.
- Self-starters who are willing to learn.
- Strong work ethic - dependable and demonstrate good attendance.
- Able to work a 12-hour night shift 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 am - 7:00 pm.
- Able to meet the physical qualifications for this position which include:
- Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Standing for an extended period of time.
- Lift, throw, bend, squat, twist, and reach.
- Working in both hot and cold conditions.
- Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.
- Need to be able to read, write and understand English.
- Basic computer knowledge is a plus.
- Previous manufacturing experience is a plus, but not necessary.
- Have a positive attitude and be willing to assist others when needed.
- Starting rate $18.00 an hour.
