Manufacturing Engineer
The Manufacturing Engineer plays a key role in driving operational excellence through off-line programming, quoting, process improvement, safety leadership, and CNC manufacturing support. This position partners across engineering, production, and sales to deliver efficient, high-quality results.
Whitehall, PA Aerospace, Defense & Precision Instrumentation Manufacturing
Key Responsibilities
- Develop CNC programs and machining processes using CAM software (off-line programming)
- Create and modify 3D models, tooling, and fixture designs (Mastercam or similar)
- Validate CNC programs using machine simulation tools
- Lead and manage quoting activities, including RFQs, cost analysis, and customer submissions
- Analyze cost structures and market trends to ensure competitive pricing strategies
- Track and report quote performance and win/loss trends
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
- Conduct workflow analysis, time studies, and cost optimization projects
- Promote and support shop floor safety initiatives and compliance
What We're Looking For
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years of experience in CNC machining, CNC Programming
- Experience with quoting, cost analysis, or production planning
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Work Environment
- Clean, well-lit manufacturing facility
- Temperature-controlled shop environment
- Exposure to machining equipment; PPE required
Schedule
- Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
