The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating all production activities during an assigned shift to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met. This role provides direct supervision to operators, supports problem‑solving on the production floor, and maintains communication between shifts. The Shift Supervisor ensures that equipment, personnel, and processes operate efficiently and safely while meeting production schedules and company standards.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Supervision- Lead and direct production employees during the assigned shift.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure staffing levels meet production needs.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and support to team members.
- Conduct shift huddles and ensure clear communication of goals and priorities.
- Address employee concerns, conflict, and performance issues in a fair and consistent manner.
- Enforce all safety rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Ensure the team follows environmental and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct safety checks, report hazards, and lead incident investigations as needed.
- Promote a strong safety culture through accountability and positive reinforcement.
- Monitor production flow, equipment performance, and adherence to SOPs.
- Ensure line startup, shutdown, and changeover procedures are followed correctly.
- Work with maintenance and quality teams to quickly resolve downtime or quality deviations.
- Track and report production metrics (throughput, scrap, downtime, yield).
- Maintain accurate documentation including shift reports, operator logs, and production records.
- Ensure products meet all quality specifications and customer requirements.
- Address defects or abnormalities promptly and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Verify process checks, measurements, and quality checkpoints are completed correctly.
- Collaborate with Quality Technicians and Process Leaders to maintain stable operations.
- Identify and recommend improvements to reduce waste, downtime, and defects.
- Support Lean initiatives such as 5S, standard work, and root cause analysis.
- Participate in cross‑functional improvement teams when required.

- Exposure to heat, noise, and moving machinery
