Operates special purpose equipment, conventional (lathe or mill) and numerical control (NC) machines for fabrication of metallic and nonmetallic parts that hold to the high‑quality machine standards required within the organization.
Responsibilities- Basic operation of CNC equipment and automation
- Basic setup of work area to ensure all production materials are available. Maintain productivity according to cycle time of jobs and workpiece.
- Ability to cycle parts on multiple machines and work centers simultaneously.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- A.A. or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school in the machinist trade is a plus.
- Basic computer skills
- Operate equipment in a safe and controlled manner
- Follow written and oral instructions
- Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Work with minimal guidance
- Work well with others and as part of a team
