Industrial Maintenance Technician in Donora, PA
This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. You will perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, support production and quality initiatives, and help ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all equipment.
Responsibilities- Inspect, diagnose, and repair production equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.
- Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
- Repair and maintain pumps, seals, bearings, conveyors, motors, liquid fillers, cooling tunnels, and fill/seal equipment.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on production equipment, including work with three-phase power.
- Complete equipment changeovers and production line setups to support production schedules and product changeovers.
- Assist with the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
- Generate, update, and complete work orders and parts requests using the maintenance system or other tools provided.
- Support production, sanitation, quality, and food safety initiatives by ensuring equipment operates safely and consistently.
- Perform general facility maintenance and help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Read and follow manufacturer specifications, schematics, blueprints, and company safety procedures when performing maintenance and repairs.
- Communicate equipment and system issues clearly and promptly to leadership and other team members.
- Collaborate with production and other departments to identify root causes of equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
- Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.
- Proven experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing industrial equipment.
- Hands-on mechanical skills, including work with pumps, seals, bearings, conveyors, motors, liquid fillers, cooling tunnels, and fill/seal equipment.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience, including work with three-phase systems.
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics in an industrial setting.
- Ability to perform PLC troubleshooting at a basic or intermediate level, as required by the equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Basic computer skills for completing work orders, parts requests, and documentation.
- Strong communication skills to clearly explain equipment issues and maintenance activities.
- Reliable attendance and a consistent work history.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience performing preventative and predictive maintenance programs on production equipment.
- Familiarity with maintenance documentation, including work orders, parts requests, and equipment logs.
- Comfort working with manufacturer specifications and technical documentation.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

You will work around pumps, conveyors, motors, fillers, cooling tunnels, and other automated machinery, performing both mechanical and electrical tasks. The role involves standing, walking, and working in and around equipment for extended periods, as well as handling tools and parts. You will follow strict safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and adherence to equipment specifications and schematics.
Work typically follows a structured schedule aligned with production needs, and you may be asked to support different shifts or overtime during peak periods. The facility emphasizes cleanliness and organization, with a focus on maintaining a safe, orderly work area and supporting sanitation and food safety requirements where applicable.
This is a Permanent position based out of Donora, PA.
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $66560.00/yr.
