Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Machine Operator, Injection Molding
Main Purpose of Job
This is a highly independent and responsible position. The Process Technician will service injection‑molding machines, auxiliary, and processing equipment. Strong troubleshooting skills required. Responsible for mold changes, set‑up, and process troubleshooting.

- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Set‑up, start, and process shoot injection‑molding machines in accordance with standard work.
- Ensure all secondary equipment is set‑up and running accurately.
- Diagnose production problems and make adjustments.
- Document changes to cycles and job log during set‑up and start‑up.
- Communicate and repair all malfunctions of equipment or tooling to the proper support department.
- Complete Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) on assigned equipment.
- Complete all documentation pertaining to injection molding machine set‑up and tool cleaning/prepping.
- Ensure molds are cleaned/prepped and tagged/staged properly per standard work.
- Use strong problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Determine the root cause of machine alarms and make all necessary adjustments and tool or machine repair recommendations.
- Ensure production times are met.
- Check and complete all paperwork associated with the set‑up and adjustments of tooling, machines, and auxiliary equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
- Communicate best practice to other team members and shifts.
- Ability to work off shift and overtime.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast paced work environment.
- Man machines as needed to fulfil production needs and customer requirements.
- Other duties as assigned to help drive our Vision, Mission, and Values.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Education through Apprenticeship, Vocational Program, or Technical College preferred.
- Injection Molding Process Technician experience preferred.
- Experience in Injection Molding, Basic CNC Machining, EDM Operation, and Tool and Die Repair preferred.
- Experience in medical molding operations and robots a plus.
- Be knowledgeable with all equipment, tools, and measuring instruments associated with measuring cycles.
- Knowledgeable of processing characteristics of different types of materials (PET, PP, PVC, etc.).
- Experience in cGMP, 5S, ISO
13485 preferred. - Process troubleshooting and root cause analysis required.
- Familiarity with clean room operations and requirements.
Associates are rated on a scale of 0 (no knowledge) to 3 (subject matter expert, with a total number of 68 skills.
Associates are level 1 if points total 0‑70, level 2 if points total 71‑150 and level 3 if points total 151‑204.

Heavy work:
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or exerting up to 200 pounds of force occasionally.
Must wear bump cap while working on factory floor.
Visual AcuityTeam Member is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and or operation or machines (including inspection) using measuring devices, assembly or fabrication of parts at a distance close to the eyes.

Team Member is subject to inside environmental conditions: protections from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.

Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts and moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat, or exposure to chemicals.
Team Member is subject to oils:
There is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
