Swiss Machinist

Looking for an experienced SWISS Setup Machinist to support production by independently setting up Swiss CNC machines, validating first-piece quality, and ensuring efficient production runs. The ideal candidate has strong setup experience, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to optimize machine performance while maintaining quality standards.

• Perform all responsibilities associated with the SWISS CNC Machinist role.
• Independently set up Swiss CNC machines using setup sheets and work instructions.
• Install tooling, fixtures, and work holding as required for production.
• Run first-piece inspections and verify parts meet blueprint specifications before releasing production.
• Make machine offsets and process adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Prevent machine crashes through proper setup, verification, and monitoring.
• Support production changeovers while maintaining productivity and quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment remains in good working condition.
• Follow all quality and safety procedures.

• Previous experience independently setting up Swiss CNC machines.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience performing first-piece inspections.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make machine offsets and optimize machining processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Experience with Mazak (Integrex, 5-Axis) machining centers.
• Experience with Star Swiss machines.
• Experience supporting production changeovers.
• Experience working in a precision manufacturing environment.
