CNC Lathe Operator
Machining company in Denver, PA is looking for CNC Lathe Operator on 2nd shift. Working Mon-Thurs, optional overtime on Friday. Will pay depending on experience and has lots of opportunity for growth in pay and job duties!
Responsibilities- Set up and operate one or more CNC lathes to produce parts according to specifications.
- Perform turning, facing, boring, threading, drilling, and related machining operations on a variety of materials.
- Read and interpret basic and complex drawings, sketches, and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
- Use precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gages, and scales, to measure to at least 0.001 inch and verify part dimensions.
- Follow all machine tool safety procedures and operate equipment in a safe manner with regard for the equipment and others in the area.
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to produce parts on multiple machines simultaneously while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Experience performing basic maintenance tasks on CNC lathes and related equipment.
- Ability to train and mentor other operators in machining practices and safety.
- Experience in a machine shop environment working with CNC lathes and mills.
- Familiarity with CNC equipment.
- Experience machining graphite or similar materials is beneficial.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with manual machining operations are a plus.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00/hr.
