Job Title: Melt Operator
Location: Landisville, PA
Type: Contract To Hire
Work Model: Onsite - onsite
Hours: 36 hours per week, Friday through Sunday 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
  • Melt elements used to produce alloy for the production of rare earth magnets and crush alloy for ball milling and jet milling operations.
  • Adhere to required safety precautions including handling hydrogen, nitrogen, and argon gases, lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Clean and prepare furnaces and work area to set standards.
  • Accurately weigh material for melt load amount/alloy type and transfer into the furnace.
  • Organize raw materials to ensure correct material lots are used.
  • Identify flaws in coil boxes and crucibles and perform repairs as necessary.
  • Perform required preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Monitor furnaces for melt accuracy and meet production rates and quality standards.
  • Record data accurately into ERP computer system, manufacturing routers, logs, databases, and control charts.
  • Perform in-process inspections as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret part prints.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Action-oriented and independent with a sense of urgency.
  • Creative problem-solving and connection-making skills.
  • High standards of accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborative team player who supports colleagues effectively.
