3rd Shift Painter ​/ Paint Prep Assistant

Ability to read, interpret, and utilize instructions from manufacturing print drawings, and other types of measuring devices (such as paint mil gage) used in manufacturing environment.

• Ability to mix paint to manufacturer and customer specifications.
• Ability to work with required PPE for mixing, application, curing, and cleaning procedures.
• Ability to operate and utilize a heated curing booth.
• Ability to set up a powder application (bucket & gun).
• Ability to apply dry powder paint to surfaces at a distribution meeting customer specifications.
• Ability to work with PPE for a dry powder paint application and its cleaning procedures.
• Ability to utilize and follow powder curing oven procedures.
• Ability to set up and operate most, if not all of the following:
  • Surface grinders and / or dyne-files
  • Die grinders and / or de-burring equipment
  • Hand drills
  • Surface blasters (sand and /or media)
• Ability to apply and finish metal surfaces with filler typically used
• Ability to mask surface areas prior to the paint application to meet customer requirements as specified on detailed reference drawings and / or documentation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
