Location: North WalesProduction Supervisor
The Production Supervisor (I, II) directs employees in assigned assembly, distribution, manufacturing, or production area (e.g., assembly, cutting, machining, paint, sewing, welding, etc.) in the execution of the team's responsibilities. Manages team (manufacturing line, cells, or area) as an operational unit and responsible to accomplish company goals and targets in accordance with all company policies, manufacturing standards and methods, and quality standards for safety, product quality, customer satisfaction, accuracy, productivity, cost reduction, housekeeping, efficiency, training, teamwork, and morale.
This position requires the ability to lead and motivate employees by understanding all of the production, safety, quality, and customer requirements and effectively communicating information to all members of the team. This position is also responsible for assisting with materials planning and logistics, reviewing production data, and processing data.

Essential Job Functions:Function as a first-line supervisor over team leaders and employees.Plan and coordinate hiring and placement of employees with his/her Manager. Monitor and track staffing conditions, work hours and overtime, job rotation, and absenteeism.Provide direction and motivation to employees emphasizing safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction, and morale.Coach and counsel employees in safety, performance, attendance, training, housekeeping/5S, and quality to ensure understanding and compliance of company requirements.Understand, execute, and ensure consistent compliance with all company rules, policies, and practices, and takes appropriate corrective action when warranted, in accordance with the terms of the Employee Handbook.Responsible for managing and appraising employee job performance and recommending corrective action.Develop and maintains positive employee relations centered on mutual trust, dignity, respect, fairness, consistency, two-way communication, teamwork, and harmony.Responsible for leading and maintaining the manufacturing and production system of assigned area, accomplishing department goals, and keeping on task with targets and implementation schedule.Utilize techniques to standardize current/new processes and methods, reduce process variation, identify waste, and methodically eliminate waste.Develop standardized work procedures by designing and/or documenting the best work sequence for each process.Direct the work of team leaders and employees by assigning/re-assigning work stationing and analyze production requirements based on current work situation and production schedules.Direct floor activities through consistent application of 4
Front's manufacturing and production processes, standards, and systems to ensure all aspects of manufacturing are effective and correct sub-standard situations.Assist with materials planning and logistics to ensure on-time delivery of parts, materials, and product meet internal/external customer expectations and requirements.Perform the essential job functions of team leaders or employees as necessary to maintain efficient, stable, and continuous operations.Utilize knowledge and skills to maintain the highest level of quality and efficiency possible.Monitor and manage the flow of parts, materials, inventory levels, productivity, and quality according to lean, just-in-time manufacturing methods ("pull system"); take corrective action as needed.Ensure quality goals and standards are met and know how to use the quality feedback loops and systems and escalation procedures. Confirm that employees use the quality systems correctly.Partner with the Quality department to initiate investigation and containment activities.Troubleshoot daily quality, safety, and production issues.Perform audits in areas of safety, training, and quality to support company needs, and develop countermeasures when necessary.Identify potential and current change points and make the required adjustments needed to ensure quality, safety, operational availability, production efficiency (PEFF), and costs are maintained.Be proactive in predicting…
