This position is responsible for the overall operation of assigned product line machinery systems. This position requires routine attendance to departmental, production, safety and Company meetings.

E - 80% - Operate assigned production machinery line systems with minimal supervision:
Conduct visual inspections of machinery and perform general preventive maintenance Setup, operate, troubleshoot, adjust settings and maintain line machinery processes using control panels and mechanical practices Operations include:
Initial inspection Repair Regroove Final inspection Pressure test Paint

E - 5% - Operate forklift to move and transport raw material

E - 5% - Organization Organize work area on a continual basis in order to maintain a safe, efficient, productive and clean work environment by using air wands, vacuums, brooms and shovels Ensure work area is blown down and cleared

E - 5% - Communication Responsible for communicating changes in production and/or quality of product to shift/department Lead person Submit work orders to supervisor; demonstrate ability to explain maintenance issues and troubleshoot general mechanical issues if Supervisor or Lead is unavailable

S - 5% - Cross train into other job functions providing assistance to other departments as necessary.

• High School Diploma/GED or 4 years of machine operator/tire technician experience required
• English fluency (read, write, speak)
• Past tire technician experience operating equipment of similar complexity preferred
• A minimum of 6-months forklift experience required
• Front end loader experience preferred
• Proven ability to multitask in a stressful environment (dirty, confined spaces, strict timelines, etc.), attention to detail, and adapt to changing demands
• Read and understand units of measure
• Ability to perform basic math functions
• Must be safety conscious and carry out work responsibilities in a safe manner
• Must be able to work overtime to meet operational requirements
• Able to safely perform related physical requirements/demands of the role
• Valid driver's license preferred (must have in order to jockey trailers)

The work environment characteristics below are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. Manufacturing Environment:
This position may operate in a manufacturing setting with conditions of high-pressure air/steam/gas, hazardous gas/chemical fumes, extreme heat and temperature variations, loud noise, exposure to dangerous machinery, dirty work environment and/or exposure to dust (pigment). The position is required to wear PPE including, but not limited to safety glasses, steel toe/composite boots and earplugs.

The demands described are representative but not all inclusive of those demands that must be met by an employee (with or without a reasonable accommodation) to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Prolonged periods of standing, walking, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending, reaching, climbing, stooping, lifting, pounding, pushing and/or pulling. Move throughout the work location to comply with safety requirements.

Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move object. Manual dexterity to move material and operate equipment. Communicate effectively (write, speak) with supervisors and others on performance and safety concerns. Adequate hearing ability to receive work instruction and to respond to changes in work environment.

Attention to detail to complete work assignments. Time management to comply with scheduled work time and maintain productivity requirements. Ability to understand and abide by safety policies and maintain a safe work environment. Ability to move throughout the work location to comply with safety requirements.
